Remembering 9/11: Mr. Blanton

“I remember I was in elementary school in New Jersey, so it was right by the city. There was smoke in the air, and I could smell metal and smog. My school was on lockdown during the time, so nobody could get to me. Finally, my mom came to pick me up, and when I came home, I remember my parents embracing me; it’s something that I will never forget. Even though it was 18 years ago, it still seems like yesterday, and I still have flashbacks about the event every now and then.” says Mr. Blanton
