Both Men and Women finished in 4th place at the Region 4-6A swim meet and we have several athletes advancing to state!

Women’s Highlights
Emma Stephenson was the region champion with a new school record in the 50 Freestyle – 22.88
Girls Medley relay of Emma Venghaus, Kara Moss, Emma Stephenson, and Kaitlyn White finished 3rd with a school record and state call up time of 1.47.11

The girls 200 Free relay of Stephenson, Kristin Kight, Laura Powell, and Moss also earned 3rd place and a state call up time 1.38.47.

Other girls finishing in finals were the 7th place 400 Free Relay of White, Kight, Rachel Harkins, and Powell 3.44.85.
Stephenson was 2nd in the 100 Fly (53.22).
Moss finished 4th in the IM (2.10.43) and 6th in the 500 (5.16.05).
Venghaus finished 4th in the 100 Backstroke (58.53)

Men’s Highlights
The Medley Relay of Keagan Firenza, Dean Rathgeb, Henry Genez, and Cole Oliphant finished in 5th with a state call up (1.36.41).
The 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays of Genez, Oliphant, Rathgeb, and Luke Reed finished in 4th (1.26.33) and 5th (3.12.65) respectively and will also swim at state.
Dean Rathgeb earned a silver medal and state qualification with a 2nd place finish in the 100 Breaststroke (57.80).

Other Region Finalists were Genez in the Fly 6th (51.32) and Reed in the 200 Individual Medley for 6th place (1.55.77)
Kaivon Dixon was 4th place in 1m diving with an All-American qualifying score of 430.80 and Sam Jones was 8th with 312.65

More Points…
Laura Powell, Luke Reed, Charlize Spiers, Robbie Howell, Cole Oliphant, Keagan Firenza, and Jake Hyland all scored team points with consolation swims!
