Announcements 11/12/19

The following colleges are coming this week:

  • Today – Schreiner University (2:30 in the library) and the US Army
  • Wednesday – SMU (11:30 in the library)
  • Thursday – University of Houston- Downtown (9:55 in the library)

CIS will be hosting a “De-Stress” event by having a free Yoga session in the library on Tuesday, December 3rd from 11am-11:40am. Come by the CIS office in the Clinic to get signed up for this event!

Attention French Club Members – We will be having Crepe Day – yum! –  on Today, November 12th!  Everyone who attends needs to contribute something to Crepe Day.  Look for a remind coming soon with a link to Sign Up Genius.  Bring your food item to Mrs. Sorsby’s Room on Monday, so we can be ready to go on Tuesday, after school.  See you Tuesday!

Congratulations to Stratford Orchestra students Catherine Wu and Emily Gladstone who both earned admission to the 2020 Texas Music Educators Association All State Orchestra this weekend as a result of competitive auditions held recently at Cy Fair High School. Emily earned admission to the Philharmonic Orchestra and Catherine earned first chair in the top orchestra. This means Catherine is the highest ranking violinist in the entire state of Texas! Please offer your Congratulations to both of these amazing young ladies when you see them!  Way to go Spartan Orchestra!

Wednesday is World Kindness day. To commemorate the day, let’s wear our best cardigans and sweater vests in homage to Mr. Rogers.

Boys and Girls Soccer Tryouts will be December 2-4 after school. Please have your paperwork turned in before tryouts. if you have questions see coach Walters or Coach Wallace

Come out to the 1st boys basketball game of the year on Friday Nov. 15th here at Stratford against College Park. Game Times are: Freshman A and sophomores at 4, Freshman B and J.V. at 5:30, and Varsity ay 7. Wear green, be loud, and support your Spartans.

We are trying to promote a culture where students are kind and respectful. Students who are caught picking up trash, being respectful, or helping teachers out can be nominated by a teacher to enter a drawing for a free gift card at the end of each month. Get caught being kind!
