Attention AP Students: Friday, November 1 is the last day to register and pay for an AP exam. You can pay online through myschoolbucks or bring exact cash or check to Mrs. Hooks on the 3rd floor in the copy room. If you have any questions, ask your AP teacher or go see Mrs. Hooks.
Boys and Girls Lacrosse Club is having a car wash this Saturday November 2, in the faculty parking lot, from 9am to 1pm. You can buy your tickets in advance from a current player, or just show up!
The cross country team competed in the Regional meet on Monday. The girls’ team, which includes Fay Gibb, Hope Sage, Marlene Soto, Olivia Hirst, Megan Broom, Gianna Avila, and Kirby Crow placed 4th. The boys’ team, which includes Emanuel Galdino, Francis Galdino, Mitchell Harper, Jackson Potter, Kamal Jalal, Andy Urista, and Zach Tobin and placed 5th. The girls’ team and Emanuel Galdino qualified for State which will be on November 9th.
Help support the class of 2021 and purchase a t-shirt they are selling. They will be selling them during lunch in the snackbar.
The Stratford Color Guard is at it again! Join them on their journey to State Championships by auditioning for color guard. If you enjoy dancing, theater, sports, performing, or gymnastics, then this is the team for you. Auditions, again are November 4th, 5th, and 6th from 5:00p-7:00p in the Rubber Gym. A parent meeting will take place from 7p-8p on November 6th, after the final audition. No experience is necessary, just wear athletic attire and shoes, and be ready to learn with an open mind! Come join the legacy and be a part of something spectacular!
This week is Red Ribbon Week, this year’s theme is Send a Message. Stay Drug Free. Tomorrow be sure wear green. To show our support for Stratford being drug free. There is a strong correlation between teen drug use and depression, just say no.
Do you want to see some of your favorite teachers and friends perform, then purchase a ticket for Stratford’s Got Talent. You can purchase a ticket in the cafeteria during lunch every day this week for $7. We hope to see you there!
All boys interested in trying out for the boys’ basketball teams, the tryouts will November 1st and November 2nd. November 1st will be after school and November 2nd will be freshman from 8 to 9:30 AM and sophomores through seniors will be from 10 to 11:30 AM. We are trying to promote a culture where students are kind and respectful. Students who are caught picking up trash, being respectful, or helping teachers out can be nominated by a teacher to enter a drawing for a free gift card at the end of each month. Get caught being kind!
