Are you a fan of k-pop music?  Have you heard of k-pop but don’t know exactly what it is?  Come to a meeting of the new
Stratford K-pop club and learn all about it!  There will be food, dancing, singing, and a lot of fun activities planned! Meeting
is in room 312 on Thursday at 3.  You won’t want to miss it!
Attention Book lovers: If you are interested in meeting authors, and visiting with other bibliophiles then a trip to
TeenBookCon on April 4th is for you! Stop by the library and talk with the librarian, Ms. Fuller for details!
Freshman:  If you are interested in designing a Stratford Sprit shirt for this school year’s Class
of 2023 fundraiser, please stop by the grade level office and pick up an instruction form. 
Completed design forms will be due on March 10.
Today through Friday March 16 th the library will be closed before/during/after school for TELPAS testing.

Congratulations to the Stratford Orchestra and Band for their success at  UiL Full Orchestra Concert and Sightreading
Competition held last Wednesday, March 4 at Cy ridge High School. The Stratford Full Symphony Orchestra received the
highest (Superior) ratings from all six judges in both the Concert and Sight Reading components of the competition
thereby earning the “Sweepstakes” trophy. Please congratulate these amazing band and orchestra students when you see
them!

CIS is partnering with Chapelwood church for the annual “Say Yes to the Prom Dress” event! Come select a prom dress,
shoes, and accessories for FREE! This event will be on Saturday, March 28th from 1-4pm. The deadline to register is March
26th. Please see Ms. Thompson in the Clinic get signed up.
If you attend the Guthrie Center and would like to buy a ticket for the Student/Faculty game on Friday, please come by
Rm. 236 before school on Friday to purchase your ticket. They are $3.
The SHS color guard is seeking new members for their upcoming season. Auditions will take place from April 27 to May 1st,
Monday through Friday after school from 4:15pm to 6:15pm in the Rubber Gym. No experience is required. Please come
wearing athletic clothes and shoes you can move freely in. There is no audition fee. Being in color guard, you can earn your
letterman jacket, earn a PE and Fine Arts credit, and you get to perform at all the football games with the band! And, joining
the color guard means you may have a chance at being featured on our Tik Tok or Instagram accounts! For more
information, come by the band hall during block lunch for spin club on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mr. Houghton, and any of
the color guard members will be happy to answer any of your questions.
